The bio is the only place on your Spotify profile where you speak in your own words. Spotify's rules for it are short; most of the work is in what you choose to say.

A structure that works
- Open with who you are in one line. Name, city or country, and the sound, in plain words.
- Then one thing worth remembering. A story, a milestone or a collaboration; one is better than five.
- Point to the music. @tag your newest release and the playlist or album you most want heard.
- Write it in your audience's language. If most listeners are Arabic-speaking, write the bio in Arabic.
- Update it with each release. An old bio pointing to an old single tells new listeners you have gone quiet.
Our free artist bio generator drafts a bio you can edit down to the limit.
