On 17 June 2026 Spotify started letting artists upload full-length videos directly, in beta, and stopped accepting new Clips. If your release plan still has a line for Clips, this is what replaces it.
How uploading works
- Access. A beta that is rolling out gradually through the year. Artists without access can join a waitlist.
- Where. Spotify for Artists on desktop, in the Video & Visuals tab.
- Shape. Spotify recommends landscape, 16:9.
- Other route. Labels and distributors remain the main delivery path for audio and video, and artists who already deliver video that way can carry on.
What is allowed, and what it earns

What happened to Clips
- No new uploads. New Clips uploads ended on 17 June 2026.
- Old Clips stay. Clips already uploaded remain live and move to the Video tab on your profile.
- Countdown videos continue. Short videos on Countdown Pages are now called countdown videos and still work on eligible pages.
