Most problems with an Apple Music artist page are fixed by someone other than Apple: your distributor, a data company or a lyrics service. Knowing who owns each fix saves weeks of emails to the wrong place.
Claiming your page
- Where. From the Apple Music for Artists iOS app or the website.
- Who gets control. Administrator access goes to the first artist or artist manager who requests the page. The Administrator then adds team members, such as a label representative.
- How long. If 10 business days pass with no update on your request, contact Apple, and check the inbox of the Apple Account you applied with.
Who fixes what
| Problem | Who fixes it |
|---|---|
| Your music is not live | Your distributor |
| Wrong release date, title or capitalisation | Your distributor or label |
| Another artist's albums on your page | Apple, under "Artist Catalog Issues", with album links and the correct page link |
| Wrong or missing biography | Xperi supplies Apple's bios and does not guarantee updates; Apple removes a bio that belongs to another artist |
| Lyrics | Musixmatch; some lyrics do not display for licensing reasons |
| Concert listings | Bandsintown |
Your Shazam page
- Created automatically. A Shazam artist page appears when your distributor delivers your music to Apple Music.
- Same image. The Shazam artist image is the one you set in Apple Music for Artists.
- Top Songs. Based on your most-Shazamed songs; allow up to 5 business days after the page is created.
- Videos. Apple cannot change or remove YouTube videos on Shazam. Match the title on your official YouTube channel to the Shazam track and remove version notes and special characters.
