Time your lyrics line by line, in your browser
Load your song, paste the lyrics, and tap once at the start of each sung line. You get a timed .lrc file and a check against the transcription rules lyrics services use.
What an .lrc file is
An .lrc file is plain text: each lyric line starts with the time it is sung, written as [minutes:seconds.hundredths]. Music players, karaoke apps and many lyrics workflows read it. This page writes one line-synced file, the format most players expect.
How to time a line
Tap at the moment the first word of the line is sung, not when the music for it starts. If several voices sing, follow the main vocal. Then play the preview and nudge any line that lands early or late by a tenth of a second.
Where the file goes
Lyrics on Spotify and most major services come from a lyrics provider, not from your audio delivery, and are added there by the artist. Our guide explains who supplies them and how to verify your own: How to get your lyrics on Spotify and Apple Music. Keep the .lrc with your release files as the master copy of your timing.
