Work the number backwards
Set a monthly income target and see the play count it actually needs — after your split. We take 0% commission.
Why no one can give you a fixed rate
A stream is not sold at a price. Each service pools the money it collected that month and divides it by the listening it recorded. What reaches you is your slice of that pool — so it moves with the listener’s country, whether they pay for a subscription or listen free, and how much everyone else was streamed that month. Two artists with identical play counts can be paid very differently, and the same artist can be paid differently in two consecutive months.
That is why this page asks you for a range instead of printing a rate. 0.0020 is a cautious floor, 0.0035 sits in the middle of what most independent catalogues see, and 0.0060 is a strong month weighted towards paying markets. The distance between the ends of that range is the honest answer.
What we take
Five percent of what a release earns. Nothing to apply, nothing to release, no subscription that expires and pulls your music down with it. If a release earns nothing, we are paid nothing. The full terms are here.
